This floating, futuristic pendant was created for Martinelli Luce by Vattorio Venezia in 2017. The two LED light sources ensure both direct and indirect light on each side of the two cables that suspend the circular lampshade in a way that makes it look as though it floats in the air. This sculptural element ensures a light expression without detracting from the overall appearance of the lamp. The round, opal white, plastic lampshade placed in the middle of the lamp reflects the light, creating an interesting interplay of light. The lower aluminium light source offers an expert balance between the two cables, the lampshade, and the light source mounted in the ceiling—a delicate balance that ensures the lamps unique expression.
