If it’s written on the dimmer (40W-100W), the lowest wattage has to be 40W. Example: Your floor lamp has three light sources, and you mount 3 x 8W light sources. Your total wattage is 24W, so they won’t be compatible with a 40W-100W dimmer. In this case, you need to choose an LED dimmer with the lowest wattage possible, typically 2-4W.
