The dimmer has a soft start/stop function (which doesn’t blind), and it is programmed with a memory function unless the power cuts out. The dimmer automatically finds out whether the lamp uses LED or an incandescent bulb. The maximum wattage is 4-100W for LED and 25-160W for incandescent bulbs. NB When it’s time to change or mount a dimmer on a floor lamp, you need to find the lowest wattage. If it’s written on the dimmer (40W-100W), the lowest wattage has to be 40W. Example: Your floor lamp has three light sources, and you mount 3 x 8W light sources. Your total wattage is 24W, so they won’t be compatible with a 40W-100W dimmer. In this case, you need to choose an LED dimmer with the lowest wattage possible, typically 2-4W.
